[ When Ororo came to early that morning, she was propped up against a tree. She wondered idly how long she'd been gone. Her memory was a bit spotty, she barely remembered how she'd been taken, or what had happened while she was there. She did remember that they'd tested the limits of her powers this time though, and were especially focused on how much of her own lightning she could take. She could still smell the ozone on her uniform.

They'd taken care of the worst of her injuries, thankfully, so she took a few moments to take stock of her remaining ones. Her arms were still badly burned, but not so terribly that treating them could not wait. Her ribs felt sore, but thankfully not broken. Bruised, perhaps. From a fall, maybe? She can't remember. Her shoulder definitely got the worst of it: dislocated, and she couldn't pop it back in herself. It made moving around difficult, since it hung limply where it stubbornly bumped against her bruised side. Flying was out of the question - not that she had the energy for it, anyway - so she'd have to walk.

Gingerly, she got up and had to bite her lip to keep from crying out in pain when she jostled that shoulder. She knew she'd be easier to find if she would just make some noise, but pride kept her from being seen like this. Seeing a doctor or a healer had to come first, before anything else. The last thing she wanted was for any of her friends to see the state she was in right now. ]

[ Action: open to anyone! ]

[ One thing Ororo did appreciate about Luceti was the kind of healing that was available to everyone. "Magic" was still a term she wasn't comfortable using, but she had to admit that it was certainly convenient. She'd been badly injured upon her return from her kidnap, and yet here she was making a very quick, very brief stop at All Passions, mere hours later. Against doctor's orders, and Mia was definitely going to get mad if she ever found out, but she really wanted to find clothes that would hide the burns that remained on her arms before her friends at the house saw them! She didn't want to worry them any more than she already had.

Still, no matter what her intentions were, picking out some decent clothes for the fall was still quick to tire her out. She wasn't completely healed and definitely still needed rest! So she takes a moment to sit by the fountain for a little while, before she finally heads for home for some much-needed rest. ]

[ She can only be stubborn for so long. And, well, this was Nami. Even if she doesn't know her, Ororo feels comfortable with her. So she nods gratefully. ]

I would appreciate that, thank you. And I do have friends here, yes. One of them a doctor at the clinic. Her name is Mia?

Well, I'll call her up for you. C'mon. [Her cottage ain't that far away. She'll start helping Ororo in that general direction.] I'm Nami, anyway.

Thank you. Ah - and I am Ororo. [ Ororo smiles, accepting Nami's help. ] I will have to make it up to you, Nami.

I'm sure we can think of something later. [She grins, though she's only half joking. Cough.] Maybe at some point when, you know, you're all in one piece and healthy again.

Ah, I live outside of town, so... but it's not too far away. I've got a spare bed you can collapse on for a while while I find your friend.

That's alright. I do not think I can make it all the way into town, anyway. [ Her smile tuns wry and she gestures to her arm hanging lifelessly at her side. ] Not with the souvenirs they left me.

[Her mouth twists as she takes another look. Up close, it's so much more ghastly.]

...why? What were they after?

[ She shrugs her working shoulder. ]

The extent of what I can handle with my powers, if I were to hazard a guess. This came from a bad fall, I think. They could not be bothered to fix it before they sent me back.

[weathervain]

Jerks. [Muttered more or less under her breath. She can see the orchard fence up ahead anyway, and changes angle slightly for the gate.] I'm sorry I don't have a first aid kit up here. Though after today I think it might be a good idea.

It's quite alright. I would not generally expect to need one here in the orchard either, not on a regular day. [ She winces. ]

[weathervain]

I dunno, I could have a tree fall on my head one day. [Dry humour as she reaches for the gate latch and swings it wide.] The house is just down the end of this row.

[calmbeforethe]

[ Ororo sighs a little, smiling gratefully. She can still walk fine! But she could really use a minute to rest right about now. ]

... Do you live out here all on your own now, Nami? [ Didn't she have a house in the village, before? ]

[weathervain]

[She registers the 'now' but doesn't mention it, just humming a confirmation to that question.] This orchard is like the one I have at home. Considering this is where I got dumped when I arrived, I figure I may as well stay here. Apparently I was here before.

[Which she suspects Ororo knows, but that's not a conversation she needs to hvae right now. She helps Ororo to the front door, turning the handle and pushing it open with her foot.]

[ Ahh, indoors. Once she's directed to the nearest bed, couch, chair - anywhere she can rest, she isn't picky - she sits gratefully. ]

Mm. You were, yes. You had quite the presence, too. [ She shoots Nami a small smile. ]

[weathervain]

[Nami takes her straight to the bedroom. Hers, actually, as the spare is just a mattress. Her journal is on the bedside, and she picks it up, giving Ororo a faint smile in return.]

So I've heard. Mia, was it?

[calmbeforethe]

[ Ororo just nods, returning that smile. It was so strange, looking at this younger Nami. Ahh, well. Hopefully they could still be friends. ]

... She is a regular at the clinic, I believe. I'm hoping she can spare a moment or two to come down here.

[weathervain]

Okay. If not, I'll find someone else for you. [She glances Ororo up and down, biting her lip for a second.] If you can make yourself any more comfortable, feel free. I'm not gonna mind.

[She grins a second, and then does her best to call up a Mia.]

[ She goes ahead and takes Nami's words to heart while she went about calling Mia. She wasn't going to lie down, because she was being a little bit stubborn, but she did unclasp her cape and fold it over a nearby chair. She toed off her boots, too, before sitting back on the bed, legs folded under her primly. ]

[Just give her a sec, Storm, she's going to wander out to her kitchen while she pages Mia across the journal. She's got some bottled water out here, and she figures you might like it. Also brb, inviting Mia into this thread.]

[If Mia knew telephones, some of the things that happen in Luceti would make a lot more sense to her.

As it is, when she notices someone's asking for her specifically, she wastes no time answering.]

[She sounds hesitant, because this is actually the first call she's made direct, but it's pretty straightforward. Just...odd.]

Hey. Is this Mia? You're a doctor?

It is, yes. Is there a problem?

[Usually people don't ask specifically for a doctor unless someone is in trouble.]

Yeah...I have a friend of yours who's just come back from a kidnapping. She asked me to call you. Her name's Ororo.

Do you know where the mikan grove is?

[frost_jewel]

[Ororo! And right on the heels of all the other trouble.]

Of course. Can you tell me anything about how she is, or what happened to her?

Her arms are burned, and it looks like her shoulder's out. I haven't done much yet-- I just got her back here. Uh... I've got bottled water, but no first aid kit. [So she can help with those burns a little, but...that's about it.] She's resting in the bedroom.
